About Us

Our founders have extensive tax planning experience spanning more than six decades of taxation, accounting and business experience—including tenure at the Big 4 accounting firms, servicing individual clients. One of them has even authored a two-volume, nearly 1,000-page treatise on income taxation. (Which we won’t make you read!)

We created AMTIndividual because we were all-too-familiar with the frustration of falling into the alternative minimum tax trap and wanted to create an easy, convenient way to help individuals understand, strategize and plan for it.

The AMTIndividual team has earned a host of credentials, including B.S. in Accounting, MBA, J.D., and LL.M. in Taxation degrees. Memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the State Societies of CPA’s, Tax Executives Institute and Finance Executives International.

We are also active in the local community—serving on the boards of neighborhood youth organizations, chairing the church finance committee, and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity.
